Brian Alleyne is a sociologist, who teaches at Goldsmiths College, University of London.

His interests are:  globalisation; sociology and political economy of information technologies; new media and interactive environments; ethnography; biography and narrative.

He is currently in the early stages of two new projects: one on the cultural politics of integrating ‘extra communitarian’ migrants in central Italy; the other on the social life of personal digital assistants (PDAs).
